Grandma and Grandpa Doering

Gamma and Grandpa Kalkowski

We've had lots of visitors come to visit Isabella. It's a good thing it is in the summer and not very many colds are going around. I think if it was winter time and lots of flu going around, Mark would of had a heart attack. He wanted to make sure everyone washed their hands and to keep the little kids to a minimum. I wasn't so obsessed with it and then she got a stuffy and runny nose at about 2 weeks. Wished I would of listened a little more. I had to do some saline wash and suck the snot out with the bulb syringe. She got better in about three days.

Izzy's Nursery

Here are some pictures of Izzy's nursery. She hasn't slept in it yet, but daddy says when mommy goes back to work, Izzy goes to the nursery. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I'm sure I'll sleep better without hearing all her grunting noises in the morning. She goes to bed between 10 and 11 and gets up between 2:30 am and 3:30 am. Then she gets up again around 5 or 6. Can't wait until she pulls and "all-nighter." Talk soon. Ari

Well, it's been a long time since I've been on. Lots of changes have taken place. Mark and I bought a new house at 1007 S. 198th Street in Elkhorn, Ne. 68022. We are really excited but made a lot of work for ourselves with the new baby coming.
On June 25th, 2009 our bundle of joy arrived at 7:40 am. I had a C-section and it was a piece of cake. We named her Isabella Ann. She weighed 5lbs 15ozs. and was 19 1/4 inches long. So far things are going pretty good, just typical new born woas. I am going to try and keep up with a weekly blog with pictures of how our little one is growing. I go back to work on Aug. 17th and it's going to be a little bitter sweet.

almost there!

Mark's Eyes

So tired

Not sure whose nose

the frown from us pushing on her

Last week at my appointment I measured a little smaller than the time before so that warranted me another ultrasound. Yeah. They were wanting to make sure that my amniotic fluid was sufficient enough. So, I went back today at 35 weeks and got another ultrasound. You can better tell what structures are when they are little and not all scrunched in your uterus. The fluid amount was fine and the baby scored well in all her categories. She weighed a little over 5 pounds and they thought she would gain about 1/3 of a pound each week. She will be here in four weeks so that puts her a little over 6 pounds. Sure glad she's not a 10 pounder like her daddy. The ultrasound tech was trying to get a good picture of her face, but she was camera shy today. She kept her hands up buy her face the whole time. The tech used this little buzzer to wake her up. She warned me I would feel a little punch when she vibrated my stomach. It wasn't a little punch. Isabella hated it and decided to take a few punches at her mom's tummy. We also got the middle finger and a frown in this photo session so we decided to stop picking on her. I think she looks alot like her daddy. Can't wait until she's here. June 26th is her arrival date. To add to the chaos Mark and I bought a new house and have get things packed up. It is going to be fun filled the next couple of weeks. Talk to you all soon.

I have had so many requests for belly pics so here they are. I haven't been very good about taking them every week or every month for that matter, but here is what I've got.

Baby Shower

Well, I had my first two baby showers and it is so wonderful to know how many people care. We got so many nice things. It was very overwhelming. Thank you to everyone that gave gifts to Isabella. I'm sure they will all go to use. Talk to you soon.
