Pool time in the back yard was a great past time for a couple of weeks and then we had to go big time. Elkhorn public pool baby.

Birthday Girl!
Everyone has to have a Barbie cake sometime in their life.
Izzy has so many great friends from school that came to her party. It will be sad when they all go their different ways in August.
It kept them busy for hours. She loved it!

Blowing bubbles at Daddy's work picnic in Zorinsky Park.
The summer is moving right along and so are the girls. Izzy is still taking swim lessons and gymnastics and loving them both. If Izzy could, she would swim her life away. She loves it. Izzy also turned another year older this month. I have a big 5 year old and a soon to be kindergartner. Where has the time gone. For her birthday we got a bounce house, had water balloons and water guns. The kids had a blast. I wasn't thinking when I mixed water with a bounce house (Thanks Mom and Dad for all your help). The kids were slipping all over the thing. Also, water guns...kids aim right for the face. All in all we made it out alive and Izzy had a blast. That's all that matters. With age also comes the attitude. Izzy definitely gives me a run for my money. She questions everything I command, and is really good at letting some of it go through one ear and out the other. It's a good thing all her pre school teachers say she is a great kid.Addie has been potty trained for at least a month now and it does make life little easier. There are still accidents on occasion when she is just too busy and runs to the toilet and pees right in front of it. Soon enough she will have it mastered. What we don't have mastered though is the "ci-ci." It is a constant battle. She usually just gets it at night, but there are times where she is melting down and that is the only thing that calms her. There are times in the morning that I hold my hand out to take it from her and she gives it a few more sucks before she hands it off. The kid has an addiction. One day I told her that she was a big girl and big girls don't use paci's. She told me, "I'm not a big girl, I'm little like a baby." A few minutes later she is a big girl and she wants to play with the big kids. She is growing fast and learning lots. I was lying in bed with her one night trying to get her to sleep and she counted to ten. It was a proud moment for me.
Mark's Grandpa Bieck passed away at the young age of 90. He was a WWII Vet and we will forever miss him and his stories. Mark and I also celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. We've been through a lot together and have managed to still make it work and love one another. Like I always quote, "You and me together, can do anything, baby."
