Addie's first hair cut. She was a champ.
Gamma met us in Lincoln and we went to our third Disney on Ice. The girls loved it as usual.
Grandma Ruby at Thanksgiving.
Izzy needed one too.
Taking advantage of a nice day in November on the neighbor's trampoline while they are gone. Yes, we got permission. Thanks Brock and Liz.
Playing with the doll house that is usually stuck back in the corner of the closet. So glad she's playing with it.
Our first child playing in the first snow.
Our second joining him. Izzy loves the snow as much as Cletus.
Addie decided to play too.
Looks a little cold on the behind.
First snow angel of the year.
Get ready for the many faces of Izzy.
Making bird houses for when they come back.
The final product.
Addie and Cletus, just getting up on a Sunday morning.
Izzy rang the Salvation Army bell with her Kindergarten class. Addie joined them.
All the ladies. Aunt Cindy, Aunt Debbie, Mom, Grandma Brown.
The Bird.
Addie opening her birthday presents. Her third birthday was the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Let's bowl. Addie chose to bowl for her birthday.
Then a few video games.
Grandma and Grandpa D. came for the day and had dinner with us for Addie's birthday on that Saturday. We went to Oscars.
Addie singing and dancing with her new Elsa doll. Can you guess what she's singing? Yep, Let It Go.
We started putting up Christmas decorations.
The Smith boys over to hang out. We love having company. Cupcakes and milk were in store.
November was only a month away and I have already forgotten all that has happened. Good thing for electronic and recording devices to help this old brain. The girls have been busy with lessons and friends and Mark and I just try to keep our heads above water with work and keeping the house chores kind of complete.
Izzy is doing well in school and loving every minute. We did have a little hiccup this month. Her teacher mysteriously did not return and we had to adjust to a new one. We shed a few tears, but moved on. We still talk about Miss Waller and how funny she was. She is missed. Mrs. Hammond came back from taking leave to help out the rest of the year. I really like Mrs. Hammond. She is take charge and organized. Definitely helps this unorganized mom out. Izzy did state that she isn't as funny as Miss Waller, because she is a mom. So I guess I'm not funny either, since I'm a mom and all. Izzy has shown some signs of perfectionism. She gets very down on herself is something she does is not up to her own standards. I have to keep telling her she is doing great. She's only a Kindergartner and some of those things take years of practice. She has also become quite the artist. Much better than me.
Addie, again, is the funniest kid. She will tell you what is on her mind but she is also the first to tell you, "I love you," and want to give big hugs. One day she was watching cartoons and she told Mark to move, he was in her way. She loves to bust a move and goes with us to Izzy's activities and never complains.
This year we had Thanksgiving at our house for something different. Mark bought a turkey fryer that is heated with gas and not oil. The turkey turned out great and it was nice to not have to drive to Grand Island. I skipped Black Friday shopping as usual, but I am starting to make the Christmas lists. Have a great holiday season.
