Excited about all her presents. Thanks to everyone for all the great presents.

Our favorite cousinm, Ladelle. She is always a big help and Izzy loves to play with her. She even told me Ladelle was her best friend.

Daddy bought Izzy a present too so she didn't feel left out. A bit spoiled don't you think?

Checking out the pretty lights that Daddy and PopPop hung.

Making a sandwich on a lazy Sunday!

This was a busy week getting ready for our little ones (Addie's) first birthday. This year has flown by and continues to be crazy. Addie's actual birthday was on the 28th which was a Wednesday. We had swim lessons that night so we did a quick dinner together and Mark treated us with cupcakes from GiGi's cupcakes. They were very tasty.....at least all of us but Addie thought so. She actually even made a gag sound with the frosting. What kid doesn't like frosting? I guess mine!

Saturday we had her birthday party. It was a lot of fun with Christmas cheer and a sad Husker loss. The kids all did a scavenger hunt for things that Santa left behind, made snow globes, and then were just running around like kids do. I think they all had fun. Later that evening, Santa came to get his things back and the kids took pics with him. Addie wasn't sure what all the crazy stuff was going on, but hopefully she can look back at this and see we had a fun time on her 1st! A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to my mom and dad for all the help leading up to the party. Hanging mirrors and Christmas lights, making food, and cleaning the house, probably weren't high on their list of good times with the grandkids. Also, my Grandma and Grandpa Brown made it for the big celebration.

Now that Addie is one, I will only be posting monthly so you won't have to listen to me on a weekly basis. Talk after Christmas. Hope you all have a blessed one!

Izzy is almost getting too big for the kitchen sink!

This was a nice short week for work because of Thanksgiving. I am truly thankful for my family, our fairly good health, and having the ability to provide for my girls. We are very blessed in many ways.

We are still struggling with Addie and eating table food. It's different everyday. One day she does great and another she pushes it away and will have nothing to do with it. It was a big day on Wednesday because she TOOK STEPS! She is two weeks ahead of Izzy for taking steps. It is only 3 or 4 steps, but it's steps.

We went home on Thursday morning for Thanksgiving and then on to Kearney to my aunt and uncle's. It was great to see and spend time with my family. That night (or next morning) I was suppose to go to WalMart and get a 60 inch TV for my husband, but I got sick. So my loving dad went in my place to find the TV was in event 2 which was at 10pm on Thanksgiving. So he and Mark both got up at 3:30 am to get the TV to only be disappointed. Black Friday is no longer an event in the Kalkowski/Brown households!

We came home Saturday and started to put up Christmas decorations. Tis the season. Hope everyone has a good one.

50 weeks (Nov 12-Nov 18)

Trying finger food with not much success!

My snuggle bug, Izzy!

Loving the freedom of movement!

Sisters playing!

Daddy's iPad is the best entertainment.

Caught red handed. Addie in Izzy's toys!

And again....

Well we are still having difficulty with Addie and her table food. She will eat one day and deny the next. I think it is a texture thing with her. She doesn't have too much of a gag reflex though so that is good. The situation could be worse.

Addie is definitly moving around a lot and getting into her sisters stuff. They are also playing so well together. I can't wait until they can entertain one another.

Otherwise it was a normal week with dance and swim lessons and no time to rest. Izzy has come down with a cold. It's that time of year and I'm dreading it. I hope I can keep Addie a little healthier this year, but we will see.

Mark is busy with work and just being Mark.

Hope all is well and we will talk soon.
