February 2016

I was trying to find good lighting for our Valentine shoot. She wasn't too excited about having her picture taken.

Now she warmed up a bit.

This was an awesome day to play in the snow. It really wasn't too cold and the kids played for hours and built a fort.

Our buddy. We love us some Cletus.

This is what I love about our neighborhood. Mark was working and our neighbor Corey came over to help me. They have since moved to Broken Bow and we will miss them.

The girls build forts outdoors and indoors. There is no stopping them.

Lazy winter day.

You can never get the phone from this one.

February has been a cold month and we got to spend a lot of time in the snow. We built forts with the Smiths and Camps and had lots of fun.

Mark and I did our annual trip to Kansas City for the Heart of America Conference. This year we met up with Wylie and Tamela and tried a great French Restaurant. It was called Le Fu Frog. It was the best food and experience I have had in a restaurant in a long time. It was a little hole in the wall, but the ambiance and service was divine. I even tried escargot and caviar. Coated in butter they were both wonderful.

Izzy continues to play winter basketball and loves the sport. She is a little hesitant when she gets the ball, but she can defend with the best of them. I talked to Izzy about working hard in basketball so she makes the team when she gets older. If she doesn't work hard she will get cut. I told her, "Mommy worked hard at dance and still got cut from the dance team in college." Izzy said, "Let me see your scar." I thought it was cute.

Izzy was also diagnosed on her feet with psoriasis. It has gotten a lot better and no recurrences. I hope that it was a one time deal and she doesn't have an auto immune issue. It makes me sad when the girls aren't perfectly healthy.

The girls are great friends and I would have to say I wish I had a sister to play with like they do. They love each other so much. One night Mark had to work late and the girls and I all crawled into Mark's and my bed to go to sleep. Addie thought Izzy and I were asleep and I saw her lean over and kiss Izzy on the head and then lay back down. It was so cute. The girls also like to play in the bath tub together and I peaked in on them and they were playing mermaids and holding hands. I love these girls.

Hopefully I can start to get caught up. Only a few months behind. Ugh.
