January 2013

Just a lazy Sunday. Trying out my lighting haze on photoshop. What do ya think?

 Crazy hair. Love this girl.

Hope it's easier to get rid of her paci than it was for Izzy. Addie was never really a paci girl until late. Pray for me!

Doing it air plane style.

 My little poser.

Playdate with Avery. Two adorable princesses.

When we tell Addie to make the "Scary Face," this is the result.

Gamma and Pop Pop came to pick up their glasses they ordered. Here are the girls giving Gamma love before they left. Always nice to see them.

This is Addie's owie she got at school. It was actually at the end of the day and under my watch. She lost her balance in her winter coat and fell face first with her paci in. Made her bleed and everything. Poor baby!

Izzy lining up all the Little People princesses. She thought it was pretty neat.

Addie has really gotten into her books. Which is great because I felt I couldn't read to her as much as I did to Izzy in the beginning. Addie even picks out her favorites for me to read before bed.

 She loves her speghetti!

Growing up so fast.

Well, at the beginning of this month, Addie switched up to the toddler room. Yes, my baby isn't a baby anymore. She is not adjusting well at all. She cries all the time and is unhappy. But as the first week went on she started to love it. Thanks Ms. Pam for making the adjustment a little more tolerable. Now Addie waddles herself in there and right into Ms. Pam's arms.

Addie has also been helpful in getting dressed in the mornings. She has started putting her arms through the sleeves when I find the hole for her. It has been great.

In her new big girl class they are helping her to communicate. Although we are still getting a lot of "uh uh uh" when she wants something she is able to tell us when she wants "more please," because she can sign it and she also says "maaa maaa" for more. She is also waving and saying bye bye.

I would say the second week of this month (13months 2weeks)Addie has finally became the happy baby. She does a little better playing with herself and Izzy and doesn't need to be held every second (only every other). She is still congested and we are working on that with another round of antibiotics. It's really fun to watch her learn. She now puts up little spirit fingers for Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and is starting to do animal sounds. The best is "moo" and "ruff ruff." She's also getting her 15 month molars. This kid has always been a little early in the tooth department. She has been a little fussy with that and is drooling like a basset hound again.

As for Izzy, wel,l she's Izzy. The fun, witt,y little girl beyond her years. She says so many things that make me wonder how she thought of it.
A few car ride conversations were:
"Mom you know how Gamma always says that she wants to put a brick on my head so I don't grow up? Well I have to grow up so I can play all the time."
On our way home from swim lessons.......
"Izzy are you tired?"
"Yeah"
"Well how about when we get home I will read a story and then play with your hair?"
"Mom, that's a deal. You have a great idea."    Such a grown up way to answer.

One night Izzy and I were in bed reading a nightly story and Mark comes waltzing in, literally. He did some sort of hip shimmy and Izzy's response was, "Wow, seriously?" Sounds like a little teenager already.

Also she has been telling me that she's not mad at me when something happens and I say " Oops sorry." She responds, " It's ok, I'm not mad at you." Lastly, she tells me I'm breaking her heart when I get upset with her.

At swim lessons at the end of the month, I was watching Izzy sit on the edge and splash her hands in the water. I knew that with one more splash she was going in. Sure enough, she fell in. They always teach them to turn around and grab the wall if that happens and she did just that. At least she was listening, but she got a dirty look from me.

At the very end of this month I took the girls in to ENT because they have both been on 2-3 rounds of antibiotics and I wanted their adnoids looked at. Dr. Farrell didn't think that was the way to go yet and put them both on Veramyst for the next month. If Izzy's doesn't clear up in a month then he will take her adnoids. As for Addie he didn't think it was a very successful surgery at this time. So we will see in a month. I hope the steroid works, but I don't want to be on that forever too.

As for Mark and I we are doing well and are both in need of a well deserved vacation. Maybe in a couple of years. Ha!
