This was my Mother's Day note from the girls. It read "We love you Mommy! You brighten everyday!" The best gift ever.

BFF's

On our way to St. Louis

This followed us a good portion of the way.

A little Fitz's Rootbeer in University City, St. Louis.

Heading into the city for a fun night out.
Can you tell we had fun?

Mark and I in St. Louis for a DMB concert. They are not touring next summer so we took in a couple of shows.

While we are there we stay in Old St. Charles. This time we rented a bicycle built for two.

Selfie time. Avery and Izzy.

These girls don't see each other much anymore, but when they do they have so much fun.

Love this!!!

At Sam's graduation party. Todd and Mary have been dear friends for many years. There have been many nights of UNO played with these two.

May always marks the end of school and the beginning of summer. Unfortunately we are going to be going through our Summer without our dearest neighbors. The Smiths are moving to Kansas City and we are going to miss them dearly. They left on the last day of school. It was a little easier because we knew we had a couple of trips to KC in our near future. After school all the kids went to Camps' house like we have the last couple of years for snacks and fun. This one was just a little more tearful. We are going to miss them dearly. Liz kept me sane most days.

This Spring Izzy played soccer with her friend Avery. They had a good time. Avery's mom, Courtney, and I enjoyed Friday practices so we could catch up.

The week after school got out, Mark and I made our annual trip to St. Louis for Dave Matthews Band. The weather started to get nasty and we watched the radar the entire drive. We only got a really heavy rain for about 10 minutes. The first night we were there we stayed in the city. We trekked to our favorite place to find some good Italian food. We went to The Hill. I can't remember the name of the restaurant we ate at, but it was great. I will have to ask Mark. Then we went down to our favorite little bar where people play Bocce Ball. We were given a lesson on how to say it. We were clearly mispronouncing it. After we left the hill we went to the top of our hotel to their bar called 360. It was awesome. It was made all of glass windows and you could see all the way around. We went out on the balcony and there was a perfect view of the Cardinals' baseball stadium. The next day we went to Old St. Charles and stayed in our usual hotel. It's a Country Inn and Suites, but it has a lot of character. We did a lot of walking up and down the river and then we decided to rent a bicycle built for two. Mark was the driver and I was the stoker. I had to fully trust Mark in where he was taking us. He is so much taller than me that I couldn't see around him. We had so much fun that we bought a tandem bike when we got home. It's a little small for Mark but it's fun. The DMB concert was great as always.
