I love the laughter on these two faces.

A cup of hot chocolate always warms the soul after a fun day in the snow.

BFFs.

What our kids do now. Computer, computer, computer.

Aunt Trish and Kami came to Omaha when Kami was in a singing clinic. We went to Cost Co and Izzy got a origami book. We read it and read it and read it and couldn't figure it out.

Addie got a Frozen book with little characters and that is what she is showing in these pictures.

Addie on her way to school.

Addie and I at Izzy's basketball game.

It was definitely a cold January. We filled it with lots of basketball and outside fun. We rang in the New Year pretty quietly. Our friends Wylie and Tamela came over and we ordered in Lazlos. I wasn't feeling good and turned in early. I think the girls made it to midnight and I couldn't.

Every Sunday we would head out to the Valley YMCA and watch Izzy play basketball. She loves basketball. She has a mean defense, but could be a little more aggressive when she has the ball. She will get there. This is one of the only things she REALLY expresses that she likes. Makes me happy.

Both girls continue to grow like crazy and are fun to be around. Do they challenge me? Yes, but I always learn something from the experience.

December 2015

At the very beginning of the month, we had Addie's birthday a week or two late. We had it at Clara's Closet. It is a little dress up cottage. The girls get to dress up, paint nails and color cheeks. They also get to do a little style show and tea party. Such a fun time for the girls.

Ella and Emery talking.

Livie enjoying her cake. Livie is our neighbor and born the same day as Addie.

This is Chloee. Addie's friend from Small Miracles.

Becca Bennett. Addie's partner in crime at Small Miracles.

Emery and Avery Snodgrass. Good family friends.

Ella Mulligan. Good family friends.

In the closet picking out their dresses.

The infamous Rapunzel cake donated by Target. Not on purpose. I walked out with it and realized I hadn't paid for it. When I called they said they couldn't take payment over the phone and to just pay it forward. They truly made my day.

The closet.

Because we have some pretty special little boys in our neighborhood that wouldn't enjoy the dress up party, we have a small get together with them for Addie's birthday. We did ginger bread men this year.

It is now May and I am just getting to December of the previous year. Life is busy and now I'm not stuck in Bellevue with nothing to do but blog. So I'm trying to remember what happened 6 months ago. The thing that sticks out the most is that we did not go home for Christmas for the first time ever. I was sad that we didn't go, but it ended up being a great time. We had a wonderful steak dinner and the girls got to open Santa presents at home instead of at Gamma and PopPop's . The girls and I went to Grand Island Christmas Day after we opened Santa presents and had break fast with Mark.

For Addie's Christmas program this year I got sick. It was the first program I missed. My parents, Mark, and Izzy went to support her. Izzy doesn't have Christmas programs. They do their program in the Spring. Kind of strange to me that we can't celebrate Christmas in the school.
