April 2013

Mark and Gary talking at Mark's 40th.

 Mark's mom and Aunt Joni.

Mark's sister, Trish, and her husband, Dave.

 Gamma and Addie.

Kami tooted a birthday tune to her Uncle Mark.

All the Hastings boys that came to help Mark celebrate.

This is a normal weekend day in our Pacific Woods nook. Bubbles, sidewalk chalk, bikes, laughing, crying and good times. This is our neighbor Finn.

 Izzy and Maia.

Addie and Maia. Addie loves bubbles and wants to play with them ALL the time. "Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles...." She pretty much puts the wand in her mouth to blow the bubbles. I'm sure it doesn't taste good.

Izzy coloring me a sun and flower.

 Her masterpiece.

 Finn, Maia, and Izzy.

Maia loves playing with Addie and tries to help her do the things the big kids do.

Silly girls.

We went and watched Kash (#3) play baseball at TD Ameritrade field against Creighton Blue Jays.

Our old buddy Cletus. Shedding like crazy right now.

 A fun day to play.

Addie and Maia reading in the garage.

Livie and her daddy Matt joined us to close out the night. Livie and Addie were born an hour apart at the same hospital and we were just down the hall from each other.

Learning how to hula hoop. I tried and I have totally lost the edge. I even have bigger hips now. What gives?

Well, my husband has finally became a mature, wise, seasoned man...or he turned 40! Yep that's all, he just turned 40. He still has a ways to go in the other categories, but that's why I love him and we have fun together. We celebrated his 40th at the Parliament Pub with friends and family and really enjoyed seeing everyone. A big thanks to Mike and Jen Laun for coming all the way from Dallas.

Addie is growing like a weed. We had her 15month well check a little late. She was 33.25 inches tall and 26.9 pounds. These values put her in the 95th and 91st percentiles. Dr. Anglim said she was a big girl. Addie knows all of our names and points to us when she says them. She also repeats everything we ask her with good clarity. When she hands us something she will say, " Here you go." I can't believe all she is saying. It will be no time when her and Iz can full on play together and my Barbie days are limited. Bitter sweet!

Izzy is doing well also. She has moved up in swim lessons and they took her flippers away. I thought she was going to be a metal winning swimmer until they did that. Once they took her flippers away she seemed to be like a fish out of water. She can't figure out how to move forward. It will all come.
Izzyism of the month: "Just ready did." Her way of saying she already did something.

Mark and I got a weekend free of kids thanks to Gamma, PopPop, Grandma D., and Bob. We sent the girls to GI so we could work on taxes. We also got an evening to play. Boy, I'm out of practice.

Hope this finds everyone well. Talk soon
