February 2013

Snow Day! Time to watch cartoons!

 Our first snowman!

Izzy loves to be outside. I'm so thankful for that.

 Adding the final touches.

Izzy kept telling the snowman he was her best friend. Then as the days went on she would say every morning that she wanted to tell him bye before he melted. It sure melted my heart. Her first loss.

 Sledding time!

THESE WERE THE GIRLS' VALENTINE'S CARDS:

Things are slowing down just a little bit. I can say I like that. We are working hard on our basement and are ready for the extra space.  At the beginning of the month Addie started saying "up" with out stretched arms. She sure loves to be held.....all the time. Elmo is Addie's good friend. She loves singing and laughing along with him. She says Elmo very clearly and mimics the laugh of the talking Elmo we have.

She is starting to get molars on the top now too. Explains all the drooling and puting everything in her mouth. No wonder the kid is sick all the time. The second weekend, Addie got a high fever of 103 degrees. She got it on Friday and we didn't break the fever until Sunday night. She went back to school on Monday and then Tuesday she had a rash all over. She must of gotten Roseola. Then a week and a half later she got some sort of allergic rash. She had welts under her armpits, on her butt, on her tummy, wrists, ears, and ankles. Her eyelids were also swollen. It went away by that afternoon. If it's out there, this kid is going to get it.

As for Izzy she is doing well. I love the things she does, she is, and she says. The other day she was asking me if I remembered the girl with the curly hair. I told her I didn't remember. She was beside herself, "Mom you don't remember the girl with the curly hair?" I said, "Izzy who are you talking about? Lots of girls have curly hair." Izzy said, " Yeah, I curl mine too." And that was the end of the conversation. A few Izzisms are: hangaburger, just ready did (I already did)...I will think of more.

Izzy loves playing outside and I can't wait until Spring. A snow day is a good second. We did have a good snow day. The wind was calm and the snow was good snowman snow. So we made a snowmand and sledded in the the front yard.

At the beginning of the month Grandma and Grandpa D. made a surprise visit to Omaha. They went to daycare and hung out there for 3 hours. Izzy enjoyed having them there. Then Gamma came and stayed while Mark and I went to KC for continuing education. While my mom was there she took Izzy to her first birthday party. It was a princess party and Izzy dressed up like Snow White. She said she had a lot of fun.

Hope you are all doing well and I can't wait for Spring any longer.
