Monday was a great day off for me and the girls. We played with the neighbors outside on the slip and slide and enjoyed the weather. Izzy even fell asleep on the couch and slept right through dinner. I felt bad she didn't eat. But, poor Mark went to Kearney to visit his grandma in the hospital. She had a hemorragic stroke  a few days prior and they didn't think she was going to make it. Well, by the end of the week she was being moved out of the hospital and into a nursing home.

Tuesday was Izzy's dress rehersal for her dance class. I had to work because they had it at 3:15 in the afternoon so Mark took her. I texted him and he was just beside himself at the outfits the girls were wearing and all the make up on their faces. I had to explain that they needed the make up for lighting. He didn't seem to care. Tuesday I also took Addie for her 6 month check up. She weighed 17' 14" and was 27.25 inches long. She is in the 93% for her heighth.

Wednesday night I went to Hector's with my friends, Ashley and Sarah...yes, Ashley is still here. She goes back to Austrailia in two days. We are going to miss her. She is commiting to at least two more years. But, even then, if she moved back she said she wouldn't move back to Nebraska. Yes, Nebraska, we have lost her forever.

I got to hear another Izzy-ism this week. We were talking about naughty words and she asked if poopy was a dirty word. I said, " Well Izzy that is a hard one. It is a word we only use in the bathroom. We don't go around saying poopy all the time." She said, "Then I want to go to the bathroom."  She had to say the word so bad she wanted to go to the bathroom immediately.

This weekend was a busy weekend. Grandparents came into town to watch Izzy dance in her recital and then support the girls in their baptism. Both went well. Izzy watched the audience watch her and moved just a little bit. Then at the baptism she kept trying to wipe off the Holy water. Oh, Izzy, what am I going to do with you? Love ya.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Ariann

25 weeks (May 21st-27th)

My beautiful girls.

jungle gym time.

School called on Monday and said Addie had a fever of 100.8. We took her to the pediatrician and they said it must just be a virus and that her ears had just a little fluid on them. She is sooo congested the poor thing can't breathe. I can't wait until she grows out of this and can breathe through her nose again. Then, my poor Izzy is breaking out with eczema left and right. I hate smearing steroids on her everyday. I need to take her and see what she is allergic to and get it all fixed. I hate it when my babies don't feel good.

On a good note Addie is starting to sit on her own really well. She will sit pretty well with the Boppy around her. She gets so interested in the toys on the floor though that she looks down and it makes her top heavy and over she goes.

Monday we went to Sarah's house to have dinner with Ashley and Adam. Yes, they are still here. She is here for about a month. Izzy played so well with the kiddos. It is so nice to be able to sit back and watch them play. Now to get Addie there.

I had to work on Saturday and it is the first Saturday I think Mark had the girls all morning. Izzy had dance class and he took her and Addie both. I got off a little early so I went to the dance studio to bail him out. He was frazeled at having both girls and trying to get Izzy to pay attention. She is a little flighty when she is at dance. She likes to watch the other girls. That night we went to the neighbors house for a barbeque. We have moved into a neighborhood with lots of little kids and it is great. We set up a little pool for the kids and they played for hours. Izzy slept until 9 am the next morning. Wow! Like I said earlier, it is so nice when the kids can entertain each other. Makes life pretty easy. And they all get along really well. Sunday Mark took Izzy to the Fire Ridge pool with the Rosipols and I got a little time to myself while Addie napped.

Hope you are all doing well,
Ariann

24 weeks (May 14th-20th)

Mike and Mark.

Beautiful sunset on the lake.

The light house at the docking area.

At Dave Matthews concert.

Dave! Love it!

The ferris wheel at the Texas fair grounds.

Our favorite past time.
Gosh I am so far behind I don't really know what is new in the Brown household. I do know that Addie still has a cough and Izzy is saying the darndest things. She comes up with things so quick and she is so funny. I wish I could remember all the little things she says. We also started Addie on her solids. We started her on sweet potatoes and she loved them. To eat them she does this funny little slurp off the spoon. We couldn't do cereal because of the MSPI and they say to start with orange veggies first because green is in the legume family (peanuts and such).

Later in the week Mark and I went to Dallas to visit our friends the Launs and go to a Dave Matthews concert. DMB didn't tour last year so it was fun to get back into the swing of going to a concert. While we were there we went for a sail boat ride and just relaxed by the pool. It was great. One thing I really enjoyed.....sleeping in!

It was nice to get home. Even though I enjoyed the time to ourselves, I really missed my girls.

Talk soon,
Ari

23 weeks (May 7th - May 13th)

23 weeks and counting. We still have the cough. I don't see a light at the end. We are working on sitting and you can see we are only half way there.

Miss Crabby!

Gamma and the girls at Heather's wedding.

Grandma and Grandpa at Heather's wedding.

Father of the Bride.

Miss Emme. My cousin's little girl.

The wedding cake.

My cousin, Hillery.

Here comes the bride.

Combining their family with sand.

My mom, uncle Jerry and Grandma and Grandpa.

On Friday we went to watch Nebraska play baseball. We won! Then we headed back to GI because we left for Wichita the next day. My cousin, Heather, got married. It was a very nice wedding.
Sunday was Mother's Day. I spent most of the day on the road back to Omaha, but once we got home it was a great day. We sat on the deck with ribs from Lazlos and enjoyed the weather. Becoming a mom was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. There are times I get so tired or frustrated that I want to pull my hair out but their little smiles, little hugs and kisses, and the sweet little things they say make it soooo worth it. I have never had anything make me feel the way they do. When they hurt I hurt ten times more, when they give me love I want to give it back ten fold... it is just amazing.

Hope all is well and I'll catch up soon.
Ari
