31 weeks

As you can see she loves the signs.
"This Little Piggy." So cute.
Holding her sign.
A little blurry, but I loved this picture.
Sisterly love!
The Fourth of July!
Some of Izzy's older friends are getting into make-up and she is often the model. Here Lily is doing a great job. My favorite is that Lily loves to color the eyebrows.
All the kiddos at the annual 4th of July barbecue.
The men hard at work with their boomers.

Brynna and her sparkler.
Boom!
Bang!
The monkey at the zoo that kept putting his hand out for food.
Addie is starting to hold her own bottles.

Izzy loved brushing the goats.

This week I got a late weekly picture so we did it during the weekend. Izzy and Addie were still hanging out in their jammies and we were playing. Izzy was so cute and grabbed Addie’s toes and did “This Little Piggy.” Addie thought it was great. Those two are playing together better and better. My life may get a little easier someday. That evening we went to the annual Hoy Fourth of July barbeque. The kids had a great time. Lily put make-up on Izzy and she was in Heaven.
Izzy is still scared of the fireworks this year, but it wasn’t too bad. She sat inside and watched Diego while we watched the fireworks. I hope she out grows the fear soon. She says they are too loud. I wonder with all the ear infections she had if it has affected the sensitivity of them. Who knows?
That Sunday, Mark and I took the girls to the zoo. It was Addie’s first time and she did awesome. She just loved site seeing. She didn’t like anything in particular. But she did start holding her own bottle in the stroller. That’s a first.

In all the times we have gone to the zoo, this is the first time we went to the petting barn. Mark always thought it was too dirty and didn’t want Izzy to be in there. Well, she loved it. She loved brushing the little goats. She sure didn’t want to leave.

Hope everyone had a great week and we will catch up soon.

30 weeks

Playing with the weekly sign.

Getting mad when I attempted to take it away from her.

Catching rays at the lake.

Brynna making the jump.

The girls hanging at Cindy's beach.

Linly's little guy exploring the boat.

Lily, Brynna, and Charlotte

Fireworks at Iron Horse Golf Course.

Izzy helping Mark wash the cars.

Izzy and Maia in deep conversation.

The crew on the Harley.
Monday Mark took Addie to ENT and they really had nothing to tell us. They put her on Veramyst hoping to decrease inflammation and shrink the adnoids. Hope it works. We are suppose to give it a month and then go from there. She is getting her bottom center teeth that is making things worse. I think I can see the very tip of her left tooth poking through.

Addie is eating her foods very well unless it is green. If it's green she has an automatic gag reflex. What other green veggie do you all recommend? I wonder how to puree an avacado so she can eat it. Otherwise she is doing great and sitting like a champ. I wish she could hold her own bottle. Now we are trying to work on "mama" and "dada." Every now and again as she babbles it sounds like she will say it. Oh yeah, the last day of this week her front left tooth came through.

This week I got to go to book club and to a movie with my friend Sarah. Thanks Mark for taking the girls so I could enjoy some time.

Izzy-isms: This week I was getting ready to give Iz a bath and she wanted to go in the big water, which is the jacuzzi tub in the master bath. I told her that I had already filled the little bath and that is where she was going to take a bath. As I'm taking her braids out she goes, "Mom, I'm very fusterated at you, grrr." I had to keep myself from laughing. Then her new thing is that she wants to be in your business and you can't be in hers. I was going to book club and she wanted to go and I told her she had to stay with Daddy and she goes, "But mom I want to be in your business." She is just so dang cute. I think we are in a world of trouble as this tiny adult gets older.

29 weeks (June 18th -24th

Getting bigger and bigger. Lovin' all the big girl toys.

Checking out the weekly sign. Hmm, can I chew on this?

This face is not uncommon around our house. Izzy has got quite the additude and sass. I hope it's because she is almost 3.

The bounce house we got for Izzy's princess birthday party.

Izzy and Ella at Izzy's 3rd birthday party.

The little girls with Princess Ariel. Izzy was really excited to see her and asked lots of questions. She wanted to know where Prince Eric was and why she didn't have a tail.

Izzy's birthday cake. She had the option of the 3 or candle sticks and she chose the number 3. She also put it on her cake if you can't tell that it is almost 1/3 burried.

Blowing out the candles.

With cousin Ladelle.

Well, I took Monday off work for a mental day and to try and get things done. I didn't get too much done, but it was relaxing. I watched "We Bought A Zoo" and ate my favorite little frozen pizza. That in itself was perfect. I also got Izzy's birthday cake ordered in anticipation of the big party on Friday.

Addie is sitting like a champ. Such a big girl. We have still been working on rolling from tummy to back, but it may be a non-issue. She could go from sitting to crawling and who cares about the rolling. We are still dealing with all the congestion and the chronic cough. We have an appointment on Monday with ENT. We'll see what they say.

On Friday we had Izzy's big birthday party. We had Princess Ariel, a princess bounce house, and lots of people. We had a barbecue, and had cake and ice cream. At about 10pm  the country club down the road let off their gorgeous fireworks. It's always a great party but I'm thinking next year we can finally separate Izzy's birthday from the fireworks. It will be way easier. Hope you all have a great week and we'll talk next week.

28 weeks (June11-17th)

Happy girl.

Izzy loves her puzzles.

Sittin' pretty.

Loving her sweet potatoes.
Fishing lessons.

New old toys.
Father's Day. Their shirts read, My dad is rad.

This week again went by so fast. Addie is sitting very well and she is starting to get her two front teeth. They have not broken through yet but they are really close. They are causing pain so the ibuprofen has been helpful. She is eating all her fruits and veggies very well, with the exception of peas. She literally has a gag reflex to the peas. It is quite funny. She still is not rolling freely. I've been trying so hard to get her to roll from her tummy to her back. She hates being on her tummy and all she wants to do is eat the floor. We are working on mama and dada. She does recognize her name pretty well. She doesn't always look when we say it but a good portion of the time she does. It is just crazy how each child develops differently. Izzy was a bit ahead at this time, but Addie rolled from back to front way earlier than Izzy did.  This week we brought all of Izzy's old fun toys home from the storage shed and she loved them. She's growing so fast.

Mark bought Izzy a fishing pole this week, because him and Izzy are in a fishing tournament this weekend. He wanted to get her use to the pole. She loved it. What she loved even more was Mark casting the line and she would chase the fish that came with it. Good way to wear her out before bedtime.  They were suppose to do the tournament but Mark got called into work. So later that night he took her to the park to try fishing and it wasn't so successful. They will try again later.

Sunday was Father's Day. Mark worked in the basement. Great day, huh! Izzy played at the neighbors all day. She came back with a bruised arm and eye. Those girls play hard. That night we went to Lazlos for dinner and had a nice dinner after Izzy's finger stopped bleeding. Yes, I pinched Izzy's finger in the lock on the bathroom stall. I felt horrible. She got beat up this weekend. Oh well, let kids be kids, right.

Hope all is well.

27 weeks (June 4th-11th)

Gettting bigger and sitting better.

My silly girl.

Emery checking out the grass. She is almost 11mos. and is crawling and putting everything in her mouth. A stage I fear.

Izzy and Avery having pool fun.

A long day. Couldn't keep her eyes open.

Gosh how the weeks go by. Such a whirl wind that I don't remember what we are doing. Addie has started sitting really well on her own. It seems when I put the Boppy behind her in case she falls she leans back anyway. She does much better when there is nothing there. We had the girls' pictures taken for 3 years and 6 months. They did such a good job. They are going to be adorable. Izzy had on some shoes that wouldn't stay on her feet. So on the way back from one of the photo shoot spots I had her just take them off and walk through the grass and she goes, " Mom that's so much more comportable." I just giggled. The things she says are sounding more and more adult like. It makes me catch my breath every time.

Mark went to DC for work this week. Yes, he was gone again. Barb came to help. We had a busy little week. On Thursday we went to Hoys and took them Hector's for dinner. Mandi had a lovely little girl named Vada. She was three weeks early and just a little peanut. I just don't remember my girls being that small, but they sure were. Iz was only 5lb and 15ozs. and that was what Vada weighed that day we were there. Holy cow, they grow so fast. Izzy had a fun time playing with the older kids. She is normally scared of the trampoline but she was loving it that day. Then on Friday our friends Heather and Ella came over to play. Those two girls play so well together. It is nice that I don't have to entertain for a while.

Sunday our friends Courtney, Avery, and Emery came over to swim. It was a muggy day but the girls had a good time splashing in the pool. Daddy finally made it home.

Hope everyone is doing well and another week is upon us.
