Maxin' and relaxin'

Hands in mouth....constantly!

Love her!

Bath time!

She looks like she needs a bath. It's gotta be chocolate. She always tells me she needs chocolate.
It's baaack! School called on Monday around noon to let us know that Addie had a 100.5 temperature and she needed to be picked up. We took her to the doctor and they said her ears and throat looked great that it was just another virus. On Tuesday she woke up with a 102.0 degree temp and just miserable. We could only control it for about four hours with Tylenol and then we had to dose again. The temp stayed around 99.5 medicated. My poor baby was really crabby and cried hard everytime we moved her. I was convinced she had viral meningitis but nobody else thought so. Finally late Wednesday night her fever broke and she started to be a happier baby. Mark and I couldn't miss anymore work so Mark's mom came to the rescue. What a God send.

I was told again at school that Izzie isn't listening very well. I told her that if she didn't listen she would start getting toys taken away. So the next day I asked her if she listened and she said, "no, but I will listen tomorrow."

Over the weekend Izzie played with the neighbor kids for 4 hours. It was great to get her outside and running and making new friends. I went over to pick her up and noticed that she had hives all over her legs and arms. I couldn't figure out what she was allergic to, she has played outside a bazillion times. Well, it turned out to be a sunburn. I forgot to put on sunscreen. I didn't even think about it being the early part of March. I felt like crap after it happened. I learned my lesson. My girls will never leave the house without being slathered and having a hat to cover their light haired heads.

15 weeks

Life is getting better. This smile proves it.

While Gamma and PopPop had the girls, Mark and I enjoyed the festivities of St. Patrick's Day. It was great to go out with just the two of us.

Love this little gal, even though she is my challenge.

Our old buddy. Not sure about all this chaos.

Enjoying the outdoors.

My Fancy Nancy.

The weather has been so great for being early March. I hope it stays so we can keep opening up the house and the girls can get outside. This is Iz enjoying the slide.

Addie is still sick. Now on Omnicef and Zantac and still no improvement. I am so frustrated. My next step is to get her tested for something else. Although she has been so sick she has been growing and very happy. She is now 13lbs and 5 ozs. She also rolled over on Wednesday of her 15th week. Izzie didn't roll over until she was 19 weeks and then didn't do it again until she was 22 weeks. Addie is a strong little one. I guess it goes to show if you don't obsess about what they are doing and just let them do, they will over achieve. Way to go Addie. She is also jabbering away, really watching her hands, putting them in her mouth and drooling all over the place.

On Friday my mom and dad took the girls for the weekend so Mark and I could try and get our taxes done. It was also nice just to have some us time. It has been a really long time. We also went out for St. Patrick's Day. Let's just say I was really out of practice of night life. We had a great time but we were ready to get our girls back.

I think they had a great time at Gamma and PopPops. Grandma and Grandpa D picked the girls up and took Izzie by a barn with a goat and Izzie said, "This looks just like Old McDonald's farm." What a smart little cookie.

Well, we will talk soon.

Week 14 (March 5-March11)

Fourteen weeks and counting. I have been counting the weeks  since Addie got sick at 8 weeks of age. The sickness is still holding on. I'm very frustrated.

She's still a happy baby.

My beautiful "big" girl.

Daddy had a long weekend in Vegas and Addie was just a tired baby.

We went back to the doctor today and Addie's ear infection is GONE! Finally something good for this poor little one. She got her vaccinatios except the roto virus. We are going to wait on that one so we don't mess up her MSPI tummy. She is growing well. She is up to 13 lbs and 5ozs.

Mark left for Vegas on Thursday and his mom and Bob came to help out. They left on Friday and Gamma and PopPop came here. It is great to have grandparents willing to travel to help me out. I couldn't do it without them. There is no way I would have made it to work on time if I were by myself.

I turned another year older on Saturday the 10th. It was just another day. I took Izzie to see Lorax with our friends Heather and Ella. It was Izzie's first movie and she did great. She did ask me to turn the channel towards the end. I told her I couldn't but I would take her home if she was scared and she said no. I don't know if she was scared or just bored. But all in all she did great. Saturday morning I took Addie back to the pediatrician because she awoke with a goopy eye. With Izzie that meant another ear infection. She did not have another ear infection and I was excited, but they did put her on a stronger antibiotic to see if it would help clear up her congestion. So another 10 days on antibiotics. She is also taking an antacid in case she has "silent" reflux causing congestion. We also continue to do the nebulizer. I can't wait for this to pass if it ever does. Ugh!

Mark made it home on  Sunday and it was nice to have him home. Hope you are all doing well.

13 weeks (Feb 27th to March 4th)

Getting older and bigger. I can't believe how fast time flies. Although she can't breath well when she eats she seems to be doing just fine in that department.

Dinner time. "Hands up high, hands down low, here we go, you may eat." That is Izzie's little saying before we can  eat. She wants us all to sit and start together.

This is Izzie's leap frog that her class made for Leap Year. I thought it was pretty cute.

Such a happy baby for such a rough go at it so far.

Another week of congestion. We finished our 10 day round of Amoxicillin on Thursday with no relief from the congestion. I hope it helped the ear infection. We go back to the doctor on the 5th to see if that has resolved. Hopefully the doctor thinks Addie is well enough for her vaccinations. She has been so sick she still hasn't received her vaccinations from her 2 month check up. Although she has been sick, Addie has been really smily. She even started giggling this week. I love it!

Gamma turned 60 this week on the 29th. Yes, Gamma is a Leap Year baby. Izzy also made a Leap Frog hat. It was cute. I was also informed at school that Izzy isn't listening very well. She had to sit by herself during Dora at school because she got in trouble. She wanted on the monkey bars and someone was already hanging on them. Izzy took it upon herself to uncurl the fingers of the little girl on the monkey bars so the little girl would fall off and Izzy could get on. I never thought I would have the bully. I've become the Barbie nazi. "No Barbies for you!" Hopefully it's just her terrible twos and she isn't a bully forever.

Hope everyone is well and we will talk soon.

12 weeks (Feb 20-26th)

Finally a peaceful weekly picture.

Still a happy baby even though she has been so sick.

Daddy time.

Izzy and Ariel enjoying a dog before the show.

Gamma and Izzy before the show.

Lion King

Little Mermaid

Minnie

Peter Pan and Tinker Bell

My little hot stuff!
Another week has gone by and I really can't tell you what is going on. We are still dealing with congestion, coughing and absolutely no sleep. Addie also has an ear infection now and is on her first anti biotic. I hope it helps with everything.  I am ready for Spring and being able to open up the house and air all the bugs out. It works that way.....right?

At the end of the week my mom came to hang out with us. On Sunday we took Izzy to Disney on Ice. She loved it. She said her favorite was Mickey and Minnie. It was during nap time and she was a trooper. You could see the heaviness in her eyes, but she kept them open and watched the whole show. Thanks Gamma for taking us to see Mickey and Minnie. .

11 weeks (jan 13-jan 19)

She hates her weekly photos. Maybe when she feels better.

My messy girl.

 Giving Daddy loves.

My girls and I on Valentine's Day. Love them to pieces.

Well, this week seems so be going slightly better. The snot is still invading my poor child's small head making it hard to breathe. When does it ever end. Saline, bulb syringe, hot shower....it is only a quick fix. I can't do it anymore. We aren't getting many pictures because life is just so crazy. I hope it starts to get better. Although Addie is sick she still manages to smile and coo. I think she would be a great sleeper if it weren't for the snot making her cough. So frustrated!!!

For Valentine's Day we didn't do much. Izzy had a party at school and came home with a bag of loot. That is all she wanted for dinner. Mark had to work late, but he gave his girls roses, chocolates, and champagne. He also made sure to tell me how much he loved me and that sometimes that gets lost in all this craziness. He also told me how much he appreciates all I do. I thought that was really sweet.

Hope everyone else had a great love day.

Week 10 (jan6-jan12)

This is Addie at 10 weeks. I just can't seem to get a good weekly picture. She's always so crabby when I try. She isn't always crabby.

Sisters

Izzy looking like such a big girl at Colt's 1st birthday.

Izzy writing Colt a message on his table message board for his birthday.

Birthday boy! Poor little guy didn't feel good that day either. That's the pits.

See, she's not always crabby. I love these smiles.

Monday I stayed home with Addie to keep up on her breathing treatments. She doesn't seem to be getting much  better, but i'm sure it doesn't happen over night. She actually seems to do well during the day and the evenings are the worst. She gets full sinuses and really congested and has a hard time coughing the mucus up. We have had to do the baby heimlic maneuver about 6 times on her and it freaks me out every time. She coughs and then asperates her mucus and can't breath. Thankfully it has come up every time we hit her back with her up side down. I can't wait until it is all over with.

Her tummy seems to be doing great. We started her on full formula and she had a couple of rough days and now things are smooth sailing. She is eating four ounces again and is even going 3 hours between feedings. She is going to be a great baby once she can breathe again. She is such a doll.

Izzy is her usual fun loving self. Before bed we say the "Now I lay me down to sleep..." prayer and when it ended Izzy said "Come in." I said, "Izzy it is Amen. Can you say Amen?" She said, "Yeah, come in." I thought it was so cute I just left it at that.

I hope you are all healthy and that Spring comes soon so we can get the kiddos outside and get ridof all these germs.
